Islamic Tarbiyah: Raising the Next Generation of Muslims

Raising children with Islamic Tarbiyah has become a challenging task for many parents. Children are being exposed to many things from a young age due to social media, the internet, friend circle, etc.

Masjid Bilal Muslim Association, in partnership with Khalil Center has organized an educational event for mothers in which they can learn about parenting styles from a research perspective, the Islamic perspective on parenting/tarbiyah, common mental health concerns, and more.

We have invited Sr. Kashmala Qasim and Sr. Sajida Gangat from Khalil Center to conduct this program. It is definitely an opportunity not to be missed for mothers and mothers-to-be. This event is for mothers of children from all age groups. Other sisters are also welcome to attend.

This presentation will include interactive activities for the participants and some time for questions and answers. Questions can also be submitted in advance. Please email your questions to: aalimah@masjidbilal.ca. Questions received via email will be answered during the Q&A session.

We will request that mothers do not bring any children into the main event as that can disturb other attendees.

Child supervision will be available for children of attendees only. We will have a simultaneous children’s (ages 6 – 12) program in the basement led by our experienced volunteers so that mothers can benefit from the presentation. If you are not attending the main event, please do not register your child.

There is no fee to attend. This event will be in the main hall. The presentation is only for sisters.

Refreshments will be served after the workshop so please register so adequate arrangements can be in place.
